The concept store at Kungens Kurva opens

Jula opens its big concept department store at Kungens Kurva in Stockholm, the leading Nordic shopping centre. It was Jula’s first Big box department store, which became the template for future stores.

The department store marked the beginning of Jula’s development into a nationwide department store chain in Sweden. The company experienced powerful expansion and recruited a large number of new staff. Special competence was needed in chain structure, logistics, purchasing, marketing and HR. Karl-Johan took over the responsibility for the running of the company at the same time.
