Ground is broken for the expansion of Marjarp

Ground is broken for the giant terminal at Marjarp in Falköping, marking the start of Jula Logistics' investment, which totals approximately half a billion SEK.

"What we are now investing in green logistics makes Skaraborg and Falköping one of Sweden's most important logistics hubs," says Karl-Johan Blank, owner of Jula Holding.

The construction of the terminal in Falköping will be 87,000 square metres, which is equivalent to about 17 football pitches.

"We're building a terminal facility here with train tracks leading up to the gate. This means that we receive goods by rail, which we can then easily, efficiently and quickly handle and transport out into the world. The investment will also add more train commuters in the future," says Lennart Karlsson, CEO of Jula Logistics.

The investment that Jula Logistics is making is the result of good collaboration with Falköping Municipality.

"Falköping Municipality's commitment and vision to create infrastructure and sustainable train solutions has been going on for many years. Without that work, and Jula's volumes, this would not have become what it is now. Falköping Municipality has had a long-term strategy for the Marjarp area, which has created the conditions for us to develop the business," says Lennart.
