A turnover of SEK 100 million
Jula now had 50 employees, one department store, mail order sales and a turnover of SEK 100 million.
In the beginning there was still a strong focus on mail order sales in the new store. Apart from the store and warehouse, the property also housed Jula’s head office. Julahuset was built out many times and inaugurated once again in 1990, this time with Janne "Loffe" Carlsson in place.
Karl-Johan tells us:
The new store had over 2000 square metres of space, which we kept in mind when we went to the Canton trade fair in China. There were lots of different product ranges for us to choose from for the newly built store, and to sell at good prices. The number of articles in the product range significantly increased, which we found difficult to handle when we opened other stores, such as the smaller store on Drottninggatan.
