Jula is awarded the logistics innovation of the year
Jula became historic as it was the first year the class of Logistics innovation was awarded in Retail Awards. With the new logistics around 5000 long trucks run between Gothenburg and Skara every year to freight trains. The environmental benefits of the new solution are enormous and there are also other distinct competitive advantages. The motivation of the jury:
The winner shows that an innovation does not always need to be about inventing the wheel again. It can sometimes mean just deciding to do something, and also finding the right partner who is prepared to jump on the same train. The winner has taken an overall grip on its supply chain, with a new central warehouse and a solution that already in the planning stage takes into consideration the different advantages of the type of transport.
